Networking Functions

This inaugural Latin America Infrastructure Forum promises to be one of the most important events of its type ever held in Australia to showcase the markets of Latin America.

The Forum aims to not only highlight to Australian business the range of opportunities that are on offer to it from the substantial program of infrastructure development that all countries in Latin America are undertaking, but also to generally raise awareness of Latin America in Australia and to help build personal connections that will assist Australian companies to pursue the opportunities that are available in Latin America.

The Latin American delegates that will be attending the Forum represent key institutions in their respective countries that are at the forefront of shaping and delivering infrastructure programs.

This means that, in addition to gaining valuable insights into the current status of the markets in the region and the individual portfolio of infrastructure projects that each country has in the pipeline, the Forum and two additional events that are being offered represent excellent opportunities for forge valuable connections with the region’s decision makers in this field.

Welcome Networking Reception and Dinner

Complementing the one day Forum will be two important related events, both of which will be open to Forum delegates and non-Forum attendees alike. This is so as to provide all members and guests of the Australia-Latin America Business Council and of our Forum Strategic Partners with the opportunity to connect with the high-level Latin American visitors who will be attending the Forum.

The Welcome Networking Reception will be hosted by the Government of Victoria and will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage with the overseas government and business leaders who will be attending the Forum, as well as with all of Australia’s Ambassadors in Latin America and the majority of the members of the Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR).

The Reception will be a smaller affair than the Gala Dinner and thus offers all attendees an excellent opportunity for closer engagement. It will give those persons intending to also attend the Forum and/or Gala Dinner an additional opportunity for relationship building with the relevant government and business leaders.

The Gala Dinner will serve as the culmination of the Infrastructure Forum and the ALABC’s annual celebration of the growing links between Australia and Latin America. As such, it will draw attendees from outside Forum delegates and will provide a platform for people from a wide range of sectors to mingle and to forge valuable connections.
